Synopsis of Multimodal Presentation: 

Steve McCurry is a renowned figure in contemporary photography with a career spanning over five decades. He has captured iconic pictures across numerous nations, exploring themes such as conflicts, fading cultures, ancient traditions, and contemporary life. McCurry has received prestigious awards and has been inducted into the International Photography Hall of Fame. His photographs have a striking and effective use of color, which defines his unique style. McCurry's photography tells stories enhancing the impact of his work. His work has been in magazines, galleries, newspapers, books and more.  

My New Perception of Photography:

Reviewing McCurry's work influenced my perception of photography by showcasing the power of storytelling through images, the importance of capturing raw emotions, and the ability of a photograpgh to surpass cultural and language barriers. McCurry uses color and compositions to capture decisive moments that are so inspiring. He's images are more than just pictures they are stories that need to be heard whether its about war, culture, or just nature. Before taking this class, I envisioned photography as taking pictures of moments we like and want to remember. I also thought that photographers specialize in a specific area.
